Why ✍️?
The Notebooks: Process and Drafts
My hand, and the page’s breath.
You might notice a small ✍️ at the bottom of posts in The Notebooks, and sometimes in other pieces.
It’s a quiet signature. A reminder that what you’re reading was once just a feeling, looking for shape.
The work begins in my mind, or perhaps deeper, in my heart—in that wordless place where language hasn’t yet formed.
✍️ simply marks the moment it finally finds its way to the page.
Writing has always been, for me, a physical and intimate act.
Pen against paper.
The quiet ritual of shaping thought into language.
The ✍️ carries that intimacy.
It also marks a threshold—a way of saying:
You’ve arrived at the end of this page, where it exhales and lets go.
It’s a subtle signal. A human gesture. A small way of telling you:
“This passed through my hand. Here, the page breathes free.”
This entry is from The Notebooks — an ongoing series of reflections, drafts, and in-process ideas. ✍️
