Sometimes a tool gets treated as the source of legitimacy—
as if authority lived in the equipment
rather than in the hands that shape the work.
But every tool carries the imprint of someone else’s imagination,
and mine is simply the next in that lineage.
We create through what others have made,
and what I make becomes material for someone else.
The work is mine—
and it is also part of a wider field of hands and minds
that make creation possible.
