The City That Speaks in Texture
Stomari’s draft cycle in sensation—twelve poems, one walk, a civic grammar you can feel
The Kirenya Studio is releasing a new Stomari draft cycle: The City That Speaks in Texture.
This cycle extends Stomari’s poetic worldbuilding into new sensory territory—building a complete world through contact, timing, and residue.
A dream-practice walk where the city becomes readable through air, warmth, grit, light, and pulse.
The dream fragment that instructed it
A familiar street.
A bakery to the left.
A pause that lasts long enough to change the rules.
A five-year practice lands as a lived skill in a small, improbable window of time.
That’s the seed. These twelve poems are Stomari dreaming them forward.

What this cycle offers
A new literacy: surfaces as language.
Pavement seam, condensation path, brass warmth, grit held in a ring, rail vibration, streetlight cadence, paper ridges, glove weave.
A reading effect: the poems carry their own method.
By the middle of the cycle, pace changes. Attention sharpens. Sensation leads.
A public-life meditation (kept alive, kept open).
How bodies coordinate in shared space. How consent, caution, welcome, warning travel without speech. The reflective-vest figure stays deliberately legible in two ways—caretaker and gatekeeper—and the ambiguity keeps working.
A compact world.
Twelve pieces, one continuous arc, a full cosmology contained in a small frame.
An aftertaste.
Intimacy with a slight edge. The city feels warm. The system feels present.
Release shape
Twelve poems, released one per week as studio drafts.
Start with the navigation guide, or go directly to Poem 1. Both are live now.
The poems remain steady. The reader’s instrument changes.
