Report detection error
Possible Detection Error and Request for Clarification
Thank you for providing the Report detection error feature, which invites users to report a result when they think “the analysis is incorrect or content is mislabeled.”
I published Scan for AI text Results… on Substack. Pangram and Substack (you) rated it Human 100% and classified it as Fully Human-Written.
I also published An Open Inquiry to Substack Inc. on Substack. You classified it as Mostly Human-Written and assigned the following ratings:
Immediately before publication: AI 23%, AI-assisted 20%, Human 57%
Immediately after publication: AI 23%, AI-assisted 16%, Human 61%
I made no edits to the inquiry between the two scans.
I used the same set of tools, including AI tools, the same hands, the same brain, the same personality, the same interiority, the same constitution, the same body, and the same “me” to conceptualize, develop, write, labor over, work with materials, work with my tools, shape, offer, and otherwise materialize both works.
I am unable to determine whether either analysis is incorrect or either work is “mislabeled” because I do not know the full scope of the analysis, the standards it applies, the definitions governing the terms, ratings, labels, and classifications used, or whether and how my humanity is considered in the Human, AI, and AI-assisted ratings, labels, and classifications.
I also do not know who established or authorized the reference points, or standards, by which those categories are assigned, or on what basis readers, publishers, and others are expected to recognize, adopt, rely on, or obey those standards.
I am not asking how to comply with any definition of Human used by Substack or Pangram, and I do not concede that Pangram or Substack has authority to determine whether I, my authorship, or any portion of my work is human.
I am reporting both published works and the ratings, labels, and classifications you assigned to them.
I am writing to request confirmation of the following:
whether each analysis is correct;
whether each rating, label, and classification is correct; and
whether either work is mislabeled.
If any analysis, rating, label, or classification is incorrect, or either work is mislabeled, please identify each affected result and state what steps will be taken to correct or withdraw it, remedy the mislabeling, and notify viewers who previously saw the affected analysis, rating, label, or classification.
If all analyses, ratings, labels, and classifications are correct and neither work is mislabeled, please explain the discrepancies, including:
how the unchanged inquiry received different Human and AI-assisted percentages immediately before and after publication; and
how Scan for AI text Results…, which was developed using AI tools, received Human 100% and was classified as Fully Human-Written.
These outputs may affect my reputation, opportunities within Substack, how my readers, members, and consumers engage with my work, and decisions involving contracts, licensing, editorial consideration, publication, and other economic opportunities.
Please provide a written response confirming whether the analyses, ratings, classifications, and labels are correct and whether either work is mislabeled, along with the basis for each determination.

Note
I included a link to this post in the Report detection error feedback I submitted because my full inquiry is approximately 550 words and the reporting field appears to impose a word or character limit. This post contains the complete inquiry.
