Purpose Doctor — A specialist who helps long-lived individuals understand, renew, and sustain purpose in societies where extended life has outlasted the older structures that once gave a human life shape. The role emerged when survival became easier to prolong than meaning, and individuals began living far beyond the thresholds at which ambition, identity, and desire had historically renewed themselves.
Key responsibilities include guiding people through periods of existential drift, teaching practices of renewal and reorientation, helping individuals distinguish temporary depletion from deeper loss of direction, and training them to cultivate forms of purpose proportionate to lives no longer measured in ordinary decades.
